Montreux was already an important settlement in the Roman times.

A Roman villa once occupied space along the shores of lake Geneva.

In the 19th Century tourism became an increasingly important part of Montreux and consequently the rich and cultured from Europe and America came to Montreux for its peace and tranquility.

The glorious band Queen who we all love recorded regularly at the Montreux Mountain Studios at the Casino in Montreux between 1978 – 1995.

Freddie Mercury’s statue is only 5 minutes away from our beautiful apartment and you can easily walk there early in the morning or late at night to look at this amazing artist who alongside Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor produced some of the most amazing music that this planet has ever experienced!
